Conclusions
-
1.
The presence of two critical concentrations of micelle formation having different values for different additives could be shown by measuring the electroconductivity of solutions of various detergent additives in oils and evaluation of the electrokinetic potential.
-
2.
The index S, which characterizes the stabilizing effectiveness of additives, was introduced. It was shown that the effectiveness and special features of the mechanism of the detergent effect of additives and compositions of additives to motor oils could be evaluated from the graph characterizing the dependence of S on the electroconductivity of the additive in the oil.
