Probability-type strength criteria for a body having stochastically distributed disk-type cracks subject to axisymmetric loading

Equations have been derived and diagrams have been constructed for the limiting state in axisymmetric loading for a body containing internal diskoid cracks having random radius and orientation. The diagrams correspond to a given failure probabilitv and mean values for the failure stress. The most likely values for the failure stresses have been determined for several cases. A study is made of how the failure criterion is affected by the structural inhomogeneity, the volume, and the form (complexity) of the state of stress.
