Summary
-
1.
A method has been developed for the determination of p- and m-cresol using a readily available support-calcined Inza firebrick treated with 5% 2,4-xylenyl phosphate. The analysis was performed in a KhL-4 instrument (chromatograph). A method has been proposed for charging microquantities of liquid to chromatographic analysis by means of a medical syringe.

2.
Relative sensitivity coefficients have been determined for cresols and xylenols with detection by thermal conductivity, in helium and hydrogen.
