Conclusions
Technical and economic calculations have shown:
-
1)
The manufacturing cost of GTF from coking distillates is lower than from diesel fuel fractions by 20% (unfinished) or 50% (hydrofinished).
-
2)
The manufacturing cost of GTF from thermal cracking distillates is the same as from the unfinished diesel fuel fraction and 1.3 times lower than from the hydrofinished diesel fuel fraction.
-
3)
The manufacturing cost of GTF from residual products, because of the necessity of a separation stage, is 40–60% greater than the cost of fuels from coking distillates.
-
4)
It is possible to reduce significantly the cost of GTF from residual products by obtaining them from petroleums subjected to intensive desalination.
