Experience from a modernized vacuum section of a large AVT installation

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Modernization of the unit made it possible to produce second and third fractions and residue (starting material for the production of IS-20 and IS-45 oils) of quite satisfactory quality without considerable capital investments.

    The total yield of valuable products was increased considerably.

     
  3. 3.

    The losses of light products via the column top were reduced.

     
  4. 4.

    Stable operation of a centrifugal pump drawing liquid from a vacuum column was achieved.
