Conclusions
-
1.
A study has been made of the kinetics of adsorption of n-C10H22, n-C14H30, n-C16H34, and n-C17H36 by CaA zeolite from isooctane solutions at 20, 100, and 150°C.
-
2.
The effective diffusion coefficient for adsorption at 20°C depends only slightly on the length of the hydrocarbon chain in a normal alkane; with increasing temperature the diffusion rate increases rapidly.
-
3.
The apparent activation energies are 3–4 kcal/mole at moderate temperatures, 10–15 kcal/mole at higher temperatures, indicating a change in the nature of the diffusion.
