Heat effects of catalytic cracking

  • Published:
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

A new method has been developed for calculating the thermal effects for the catalytic decomposition of hydrocarbons, giving results in good agreement with data obtained from works tests.

  2. 2.

Empirical expressions are proposed for the thermal effect of catalytic cracking as a function of the degree of conversion of the feedstock and of the gas yield.
