Formulas and nomograms for determining density and viscosity of residua from medium-and high-sulfur crudes of the Volga and Ural areas and Western Siberia

  • Published:
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils Aims and scope

Summary

  1. 1.

It has been established that the density and viscosity of residua obtained by atmospheric or vacuum distillation of medium- or high-sulfur crudes from the Volga, Ural, or Western Siberia areas are related quantitatively to the corresponding properties of the original crudes and the amount of distillate takeoff (in% by weight) required to produce the given residuum.

  2. 2.

Empirical formulas have been found and nomograms constructed for the determination of the density and viscosity of residua.
