Conclusions

  1. 1.

Hot tests at the fabricator's plant enabled us to adjust the electric furnace, its mechanisms and subassemblies in shorter time periods and to record basic thermotechnical characteristics.

  2. 2.

New composition carbon-graphite materials used in the furnace as insulating and electric-heating elements possess high thermotechnical and mechanical properties.

  3. 3.

A production vacuum gate and other subassemblies and mechanisms on the electric furnace have high serviceability and reliability, and the automatic-control system possesses high operating stability.
