1.
In a flow-type laboratory unit (reactor volume 3 liters), the process variables have been studied in the oxidative pyrolysis of crude oil from the Sosnino field; it has been shown that, under optimal process conditions (790°C, contact time 0.6 sec, steam ∶ oil ratio 0.5, and oxygen ∶ oil ratio 0.15), the yield of gaseous olefins is 44.4% by weight, including 21.1% ethylene.

2.
The technical feasiblity of this process was demonstrated by a 240-h test in the laboratory unit.
