Conclusions
-
1.
The transalkylation of toluene with trimethylbenzenes on zeolitic catalysts has been studied, and process conditions have been selected for maximum production of xylenes.
-
2.
It has been shown that the maximum yield of xylenes is achieved with a. 1:1 ratio of toluene to trimethylbenzene, a temperature of 430–450°C, a gage pressure of 40 kgf/cm2, a feedstock space velocity of 1 h−1, and a 10 ∶ 1 ratio of H2 to hydrocarbon.
-
3.
It has been shown that the xylene fraction contains 24.6% p-xylene by weight, and not more than 0.15% ethylbenzene. The yield of xylene fraction is 96–97% by weight.
