Investigation of crystals recovered from high-boiling-point petroleum fractions

  • Published:
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

A study has been made of the structural-group composition of crystals recovered from high-boiling fractions of Noriisk crude oil. It has been shown that these crystals are polycyclic aromatic and hydroaromatic hydrocarbons with empirical formulas from CnH2n-18 to CnH2n-44.

  2. 2.

A procedure has been developed for mass spectrometric analysis of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons with a high degree of hydrogen unsaturation.
