Review of existing schemes for optimal control of process of commercial gasoline manufacture

  • Published:
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils Aims and scope

Summary

The optimization models for processes of gasoline manufacture that have been considered in this article as well as many others not included are either linear or reduce to linear.

In no case is there any complete accounting for the nonlinearity of blending characteristics of gasoline components, since there are no mathematical descriptions of the relationships between blend quality parameters and the relative contents of the components in the blends.

Further, in the known developments (apart from that described in [1]) there is no effective accounting for the individual lead susceptibilities of the blend components.
