Rate of vaporization of mixtures of oligoorganosiloxanes

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The vaporization rates of ten high-boiling oligoorganosiloxane mixtures of various composition have been determined under high vacuum conditions.

     
  2. 2.

    A dependence of the temperature ranges of vaporization of the easily volatile components of the mixture on the molecular weight of the starting mixture has been obtained, by use of which one can determine the distillation conditions for preparing liquids with a low vapor tension.

     
  3. 3.

    The possibility has been demonstrated of determining by calculation the vaporization rates of mixtures of oligoorganosiloxanes having a low degree of polydispersity, which may be assumed to be binary mixtures with sufficient accuracy for practical purposes.
