Conclusions
-
1.
The possibility of using polymers of ethyl vinyl ether as viscosity additives, which permits increasing the viscosity index of the thickened oils by 1.5–2 times and improving the viscosity-temperature properties of lubricating oils, has been demonstrated.
-
2.
Additives based on polymers of ethyl vinyl ether, with an identical thickening capacity to that of the additive Vinypol, are superior to the latter in resistance to depolymerization.
-
3.
In their capacity to increase the viscosity index, the additives obtained are on the same level as the best additives of this type.
