Capillary chromatography of C8-C122 alkylbenzenes and dependence of their volumes of retention on the boiling point

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    A method was developed for the separation and quantitative determination of alkylbenzenes with the composition C8-C12 on capillary columns.

  2. 2.

    The quality composition of a mixture of alkylbenzenes was investigated by the method of capillary gasliquid chromatography.

  3. 3.

    It was shown that there is a strict linear relationship between the logarithm of the retainable volumes and the boiling point in a homologous series of aromatic hydrocarbons.
