Solubility of oils and paraffins in nitroalkanes

  • Published:
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils Aims and scope

Summary

  1. 1.

The solubility of oils and paraffins in nitroalkanes was studied.

  2. 2.

The rule was established for the increase in the solubility of the paraffins in nitroalkanes as the molecular weight of the nitroalkanes increases.

  3. 3.

The study, which was made, verifies the fact that it is possible to use the lower nitroalkanes as solvent -precipitants for the deparaffinization of oils.
