Summary
-
1.
Experiments have been carried out on the catalytic re-formation of wide benzene fractions with various contents of naphthenic hydrocarbons using a semi-industrial plant. Re-formation gasoline has been obtained with octane number of 100.
-
2.
It has been shown that, independently of the naphthene content in the raw material (within the limits 29–49%), benzene with octane number 95–100 may be obtained by using a three-reactor block (a three-stage reaction), with relatively insignificant differences in the temperature conditions of the process.
-
3.
Quite satisfactory results have been obtained when the catalyst is distributed amongst the reactors in the ratio 1∶ 2 ∶ 4.
