Conclusions

  1. 1.

A method was developed for the selective extraction of sulfides from sulfur and high-sulfur petroleum middle-distillate fractions by extraction with aqueous solutions of 86–91% sulfuric acid.

  2. 2.

High-quality fuel fractions were obtained together with sulfides from the high-sulfur petroleums.

  3. 3.

A method of purification of raw petroleum sulfides by reextraction with aqueous solutions of sulfuric acid was developed. We obtained sulfides of 95% purity and above for the first time.

  4. 4.

Preliminary works confirm the effectiveness of using petroleum sulfides in the most different regions of chemical technology.
