Purification of succinimide additives

  • Published:
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

To purify Dipol 45 additive it is desirable to use the method of filtration with use of auxiliary substances such as perlite of the above-mentioned grain-size composition.

  2. 2.

It has been established that filtration of succinimide additive with use of auxiliary substances takes place with gradual obstruction of the pores.

  3. 3.

It has been shown that there is a relation between the rate of change of resistance of the filtering layer and the quality of the filtrate: the purer the additive, the greater the resistance.
