Preparation of high-grade diesel fuel by hydrotreating coking distillates

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    From the results of experimental and industrial trials, the diesel fractions of the distillates obtained by coking the residua of low-sulfur petroleums, particularly Mangyshlak petroleum, may be recommended for hydrotreatment in pure form.

     
  2. 2.

    Diesel fuel with iodine number less than 6 g I2/100 g may be obtained by hydrotreatment of the coking distillates of residuum ata pressure of 30–32 atm, a feedstocktemperature of not less than 350 °C at the reactor inlet, and a volumetric flow rate of feedstock equal to 1.4 h−1.
