Gas chromatographic study of oxygen consumption by fuel during evaluation of thermal stability in TSRT-2 apparatus

Conclusions

In the TSRT-2 apparatus, in addition to the reaction in the bulk fuel, there is an intense reaction at the surface of the liquid fuel during its oxidation; the principal mass of oxygen from the gas phase is consumed in this surface reaction.
