Summary

A methanolic extract of the bulbs ofAllium turcomanicum Rgl. has yielded a new steroid glycoside — turoside A — which is 3β-[0-β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1 → 3)-0-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 → 2)-0-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 → 4)-β-D-galactopyranosyloxy-(25S)-5α-spirostan-2α,6β-diol.
