Conclusions
-
1.
As a result of the combined shock-wave and laser treatment, fine-grained martensite is formed on the surface layer of the 30KhGSA steel, which cannot be produced by the usual laser quenching.
-
2.
The hardness of the surface layer, its thickness, as well as the strength properties of samples of the 30KhGSA steel increase after shock-wave and laser treatments compared to such properties obtained after the usual laser treatment.
