  • Published:
Metal Science and Heat Treatment Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

A technology for the production (two-sided pressing in a rigid die under a pressure of 500 MPa, sintering at 1150°C in an atmosphere of endogas, sizing, and saturation with oil) of the guide race for a roller bearing consisting of ZhGr1D2.5 material has been developed.

  2. 2.

The use of a sintered guide race in lieu of one produced from rolled steel ShKh15 stock makes it possible to lower the metal waste factor and reduce labor outlays.
