Zusammenfassung

Das in vitro bestimmte Assimilationsvermögen sowie die unter Freilandbedingungen ermittelte blatt-flächenkorrigierte, d. h. beschattungskorrigierte Assimilationsleistung ALkorr. zeigten bei dem untersuchten Zuchtmaterial von Zuckerrüben (Familien, Großvermehrungen und Originale) keine signifikanten Sortenunterschiede.

Zur eingangs gestellten Frage der Bedeutung des Assimilationsvermögens als züchterisches Merkmal muß gesagt werden, daß bei Zuckerrüben diese nur einen geringen, andere Größen dagegen, die allgemein als Wachstumsrhythmus und Assimilatverteilung zusammengefaßt werden sollen, einen weitgehend größeren Einfluß auf die Sortenunterschiede im Ertrag ausüben.
