Abstract

The synthesis and characterisation of zeolite Al- and Ga-Omega has been studied in the temperature range 383–413 K using tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide as a template. The evidence for framework gallium substitution was obtained from chemical analysis, X-ray diffraction, IR, solid state MAS NMR, thermoanalytical studies and ion exchange. Crystal morphology varied with the degree of isomorphous substitution of both Al and Ga and the synthesis temperature.
