Summary
The solid state behavior of the interchain electron donor-acceptor (EDA) complexes of poly[N-(2-hydroxyethyl)carbazolyl methacrylate] (PHECM) with poly(ω-hydroxyalkyl-3,5-dinitrobenzoyl methacrylate)s (PDNBM-n) (where n is the number of methylene groups in the hydroxyalkyl group) with n=2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 was studied by differential scanning calorimetry. All these systems form thermodynamically miscible blends. The dependence of the glass transition temperature (Tg) on the blend composition can be best aproximated by the Kwei's equation.
