Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The character and kinetics of the formation of Fe2Al5 depend mainly on the structural condition of the iron and aluminum.

     
  2. 2.

    Preliminary deformation of iron reduces the incubation period and the activation energy of the formation of the intermetallic compound.
