Segregation of silicon in silumin-carbon fiber composites

Conclusion

At the surface of carbon fibers in alloy AL2-carbon tape composites obtained by the liquid phase method, apart from Al4C3 phase, silicon carbide crystals and primary silicon crystals are observed, as a result of which the overall concentration of aluminum carbide in the composite is reduced.
