Abstract
Reaction of 2-substituted 5-imino-7-oxo-1,3,4-thiadiazolo[3,2-a]pyrimidines with pentane-2,4-dione in polyphosphoric acid yields 9-oxo-1,3,4-thiadiazolo[3,2-a]pyrido[3,2-e]pyrimidines.
