Additional information
In 1972, Dr. Barton was Medical Director of the American Psychiatry Association. He retired from that position in 1974 and moved to Vermont. From 1974 to 1977 he was on special assignment with the Veterans Administration as consultant on administrative issues and to develop educational materials. Since 1974 he has served as Professor of Psychiatry (active emeritus) at Dartmouth Medical School. He is a co-founder of the American College of Mental Health Administration.
