Conclusions
-
1.
Eutectoid composites with an oriented microstructure are formed only in the case where the pulling rate is lower than some critical value Rmax.
-
2.
The dispersity of phases in eutectoid composite varies with the pulling rate. The complex character of this variation reflects a change in the mechanism controlling eutectoid decomposition.
-
3.
Eutectoid composites have a high ultimate strength, which increases with the pulling rate.
