Metal Science and Heat Treatment Aims and scope

Conclusion

Forgings of steel 60KhN with a section as large as 800 mm can be heated to 1230° for final forging regardless of the subsequent forging reduction ratio. The heat treatment generally used, accompanied by the α→γ transformation, produces grain refining and mechanical properties that meet the specifications.
