Abstract
While clinical outcome research data are now being collected and published, little has been written about their use in outcome management. This paper reviews a conceptual framework of evaluating the quality of health care and presents a model for developing a basic algorithm. A cost effectiveness value can be determined and utilized to manage the clinical outcomes of mental health care. This can facilitate outcomes-driven network development, shaping provider practice patterns, and more cost effective treatment.
