Abstract
A classical method is used to derive formulas describing inverse Compton radiation in vacuo. It is shown that several expressions, including the power radiated and the rate at which photons are scattered, can be calculated exactly for the case of isotropically distributed unpolarized waves scattered by particles with any energy.
