Conclusions

  1. 1.

The addition of 0.5–1.0% Ti to alloy YuND4 increases the value of Br by 0.03–0.05 T, Hc by 3–6 kA/m, and (BH)max/2 by 0.5 kJ/m2.

  2. 2.

The improvement in the magnetic properties of the alloy with titanium is due to the increase in the anisotropy of the shape of α′ particles. The addition of 0.5, 1.0 and 2% Ti increases the difference in the lattice constants of the α and α′ phases by 0.004, 0.006, and 0.009 Å, respectively, which evidently increases the anisotropy in the shape of α′ particles.

  3. 3.

Titanium reduces the grain size of alloy YuND4 (almost ten times with the addition of 2% Ti).

  4. 4.

The addition of 0.5% Ti improves the grindability of alloy YuND4 by 25%.
