Conclusions

  1. 1.

It is possible to correct the tempering temperature after hardening of parts and samples of 40Kh steel based on the structure-sensitive characteristics residual magnetic induction or coercive force.

  2. 2.

The proposed method makes it possible to provide the part mechanical properties and hardness required by specification regardless of variations in chemical composition (within specification limits) and deviations from the hardening cycle.
