Abstract
Addition of CCl4 to 2S-methoxycarbonyl-N-(trans-cinnamoyl)pyrrolidine in the presence of Fe(CO)5 or Fe2(CO)9 results in predominant formation of one of four possible optical isomers of the adduct PhCHClCH(CCl3)C(O)R (R=2S-methoxycarbonylpyrrolidyl).
