Abstract
The PhCH2CH2CNOs3(CO)11 complex was prepared by the reaction of Os3(CO)12 with β-cyanoethylbenzene, while the reaction with (CO)3CrPhCH2CH2CN gave a heterometallic derivative, (CO)3CrPhCH2CH2CNOs3(CO)11. A bicluster complex, Co4(CO)9PhCH2CH2CNOs3(CO)11, was synthesized for the first time by the reaction of PhCH2CH2CNOs3(CO)11 with Co2(CO)8; Co4(CO)9PhCH2CH2CN was also obtained.
