Optical bistability polarization dependences with an interference modulator

Abstract

Polarization-dependent hysteresis of a bistable device on the base of an electrooptical modulator at oblique incidence of light is observed. The device switching is performed by variation of the incident light polarization. The multistable character of the transmitted light polarization is discussed.
