Abstract
A sintering process is described for the production of n-type bismuth telluride alloys, in which the powders are deposited from a dielectric liquid in a controlled manner using an electrodispersion technique. The degree of orientation is determined using an X-ray diffraction method and also by measuring the Seebeck coefficient in the intrinsic region of conduction. It is found that the results from the two methods are consistent with one another if one assumes a structural model that is intermediate between those of the thin disc and the long bar.
