Zusammenfassung
Elektronenblitze als Reizlicht in der klinischen Elektroretinographie erlauben die Einbeziehung der a-Welle in die Beurteilung, wenn folgende Voraussetzungen beachtet werden:

Der Aufladungsgrad der Blitzgeräte muß bei Zündung konstant sein.

2.
Die Form der Blitzröhre muß eine Einwirkung der gesamten Lichtenergie gestatten.

3.
Es muß bei Vergleichen beachtet werden, daß Blitze unterschiedlicher Länge trotz gleicher Lichtenergie verschiedene Elektroretinogramme liefern.

4.
Der störende Becquerel-Effekt muß beseitigt sein.

5.
Es müssen mindestens zwei, besser mehrere Blitze verschiedener Energie gebraucht werden, die sich für die a- und b-Wellen im geeigneten Bereich befinden.
