Abstract
A new trend in modern materials technology was examined: the technology of composite materials based on glasses and sitalls reinforced with different types of ceramic fibers. The basic advantages of these composite materials, the properties of the starting materials (glasses, sitalls, reinforcing fibers), and the properties of the composites based on them were reported. Examples of concrete composite systems and promising areas of their application were cited.
