Abstract
We discuss a one-dimensional Falicov-Kimball model away from the symmetry point of the densities by exact methods. We found the well-expected phase separation (segregation) and calculated the interation strength necessary for this effect. This interaction constant (which is already known to be less than infinity) turns out to be extremely large.
