Kritische Bemerkungen zur Gewebskultur menschlicher Hornhaut

Zusammenfassung

Aus den eigenen Untersuchungen über das Wachstum menschlicher Hornhaut in der Gewebskultur geht hervor, daß nur bei Entnahme der Hornhaut bis zu 12 Std nach dem Tode Zellwachstum nachweisbar war, und daß die Zellaussprossung in der Kultur frühestens nach 24 Std und spätestens nach 5 Tagen einsetzt.

Weiters konnte bei flächenhafter Vereinigung menschlicher Hornhautkulturen nachgewiesen werden, daß das Zellwachstum zum Stillstand kommt, während bei Versuchen mit Mäusehornhaut eine deutliche Überschichtung der menschlichen Kultur durch Zellrasen aus der Mäusehornhaut stattgefunden hat.
