Abstract
The effect of a boundary on magnetically induced helical textures in superfluid3He-A is studied for the dipole-locked Ginzburg-Landau regime. With increasing magnetic field, the pitch at the wall remains constant, but its value deep in the bulk changes as suggested by Vollhardt, Lin-Liu, and Maki. No unstable surface normal modes are found, so that the instability of the semiinfinite helical texture remains a bulk phenomenon.
