Summary
By means of electron microscopical investigations the morphology of secretion in the secretory epithelium of the cervix uteri is demonstrated. Two forms of mucous secretion of the cervical epithelium can be found: 1. merocrine secretion, 2. apocrine secretion. Both secretion moduls obviously take place in the same cell at different times, whereby in any case the cellular membrane is preserved during the secretion process, that means at no time there exists a direct connection between the contents of the cell and the free lumen of the cervical gland. Thus the cellular control of quantity and quality of the extrudet mucous is maintained.
Zusammenfassung
Anhand elektronenmikroskopischer Untersuchung wird die Sekretionsmorphologie am sekretorischen Epithel der Endocervix des Uterus aufgezeigt. Es lassen sich am Cervixepithel grundsätzlich zwei Formen der Schleimabgabe unterscheiden: 1. merokrine Sekretion, 2. apokrine Sekretion. Beide Vorgänge laufen wahrscheinlich zu verschiedenen Zeiten an derselben Zelle ab, wobei in jedem Falle während des Sekretionsvorganges die Zellmembran erhalten bleibt, d. h. in keiner Phase der Sekretabgabe besteht ein direkter Kontakt zwischen Zellinhalt und freiem Drüsenlumen. Dies bedeutet eine Aufrechterhaltung der Kontrolle der Zelle über Mengen und Zusammensetzung des abgegebenen Sekrets.
