Metal Science and Heat Treatment Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

Brief heating of steel 12Kh1MF in the austenitic range of temperatures not inducing recrystallization and homogenization of austenite lowers the resistance of the steel to crack propagation in impact bending tests.

  2. 2.

The most sensitive characteristic of the structural condition in impact bending tests is the work of crack propagationa p.
