Summary

Nitriding of parts made of aluminum-free steels 20Kh, 40Kh, and 18KhGT instead of other types of heat treatment (high-frequency quenching, case hardening and quenching) made it possible to increase the working life of a number of mill parts and tool fittings by more than a factor of three.
